Boots not made for walkin'

I don't know what to think of these Giuseppe Zanotti boots for Balmain.  Maybe I just dont like that it's for Balmain (pointy shoulder pad haus) because I am really quite excited for the GZ store to open in Copley.  However, there is no ETA.  Haven't noticed any actual construction going on.  The location it is taking over used to be a weird craft store, so I'm sure there will be some major remodeling.

Fashion is fickle in general, everybody knows that, but I'm extremely fickle when it comes to buckles.  I like metal hardware; it's aggressive and sturdy, but don't over do it.  5 big buckles?    It's so jarring.

I think I would like to own these pair of boots simply for display.  It's a nice piece of art and I can't deny the fine workmanship and attention to detail.  I just cant get the image of pirates and pilgrims out of my head.
