You see, I see, We all See By Chloe

I don't even know what that title means but it has a nice ring to it.

I don't know how I feel about what I saw.

On the one hand, the diffusion line is reasonably priced (starting around $195, with the highest price from $600-700) and has it's own distinctive character.  The best word to describe the line is "playful."  Unique extra's like the heavy star and conical shaped zipper pulls are just the tip of the iceberg. Other fun features worth noting include a giant doll head as a bag charm (detachable ) and semi-transparent bangles (not detachable) with "See By Chloe" etched in.  (see the pink Ring Around the Lambskin bag below).

The silhouettes of the handbag line overall are certainly different, but a little too amorphous for my taste.  This puffy black nylon bag to the left is a perfect example.  It looks like a blob when you hold it up against your body, but the silly looking charm was enough to command my attention for at least 5 minutes.  It is an effective attention grabber, however, it's on the borderline of childish when it becomes overly playful.






Now, on the other hand, my opinion is far too biased to give a fair review.   I'm totally in love with Chloe and that seeps into how I feel about their little sister brand.  The diffusion line was launched in 2001 and it's worth mentioning that there are plenty loyal followers.  The style is just not for me, but I do appreciate the originality.
